Filmfare Awards South, held at the Hyderabad on June 17, was high on drama, glamour and star power. The glitzy evening that honoured the best talent in Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada and Telugu film industries, saw South cinema moguls rubbing shoulders with each other.
Malayalam cinema’s young superstar Nivin Pauly won the best actor award for his realistic performance in the film ‘Action Hero Biju’. From Malayalam Mahesinte Prathikaram won several awards including the best film and best director. South Indian superstar Dulquer Salmaan won the critic’s best actor award for his stunning performance in Kali and Kammatipadam.
